Trigun

Synopsis: Set in the distant futute, Trigun's story occurs in a desolate desert planet occupied by what's left of the human race trying their best to survive. Without much existing law, bounty hunters and bandits are everywhere, and they're all after one man - Vash, The Stampede, the legendary outlaw with a 60-million-dollar bounty on his head. Though accused of destroying the city of July, he has no memory of his past and actually tries his best to do good for others by fighting the bad guys without using lethal force. However, due to attacks aimed at his life, he leaves destruction at his wake: entire towns are damaged and people fear him even more.

Although the art appears to lack creativity owing to the fact that the theme is sci-fi western, it is still a favorite of many anime viewers. The main fun and entertainment of the series root from the delightful fight scenes and countless ROFL moments, thanks to Vash who transforms from a serious gunslinger into a hilarius dork in an instant. It's depth, meanwhile, comes from its honest method of discussing pacifism without appearing pretentious and preachy. This very combo of action, comedy and moral drama in one package is the reason why fans are anticipating the animated feature film expected to come out soon..
